ITALY

I was born and returned to the sea.

“Il mare prende, il mare dá” (“The sea takes, the sea gives”), this is the inspiration for my small artistic works. At the same time this phrase is a warning to me, because I believe it is our duty to preserve this wonderful gift that is our planet and, as a Ligurian, our sea, which gives back what is not part of it and throws it back forcefully on the beaches.

As soon as I have time I go for long walks on the beach, here I look for treasures brought by the sea that smell of salt, of fishermen and of people far away… I collect these small objects and assemble them with care until these single pieces, together, manage to tell me something.
