I'm Barbara from Cardiff, Wales, UK. I started litter picking in 2015 around my local area of roads, parks and woodlands after joining Keep Wales Tidy. I pick up all the fast food litter tossed from cars or dropped without thought of the devastation to wildlife. I find underwear, vapes, nitrous oxide canisters, cigarette butts and filled dog poo bags. I try to recycle when I can. Litter picking has become a way of life for me and something I do about 3 times a week. I love it. I get to chat to people, get some exercise and have some quiet time with nature. I like nothing better than to do a beach clean when I'm on holiday, it's much cleaner litter.

I'm always on the lookout for vintage litter too. My best find was an early 1960's Fairy liquid bottle. Getting together with like minded Instagram buddies is lovely.

When my granddaughters come to visit they like to do a litter pick with me and have been doing so since they were three years old.

At 71 it shows you are never to old to make a difference to the environment.
