UNITED STAR OF EUROPE: POLAND/POLEN

I used to overlook all the rubbish on the street, it was just there and I hardly noticed it. But since I've been following the actions of TrashmaidBerlin, I've become more and more concerned with the trash problem. Suddenly I see the rubbish everywhere and get annoyed about it.

For a few months now, I kind of adopted the pavement around the apartment building where I live and take care of it. After having to collect quite a lot in the beginning, it has become less in the meantime. Various neighbours approached me while collecting and told me how great they think it is that I do it. I hope that especially the offenders, who mainly leave heaps of cigarette butts, will also notice what I do and start to reconsider their behaviour. I think setting a good example is the best thing you can do.
